With engagement season and the winter chill officially here, we couldn’t wait to share this warm and snuggly shoot from Daphne and Dean Photography.
The landscape and pop of color evokes the holiday season, while the use of natural light and tender emotions between Sarah and Andy make us feel all cozy.
Cheery and bright, this love story mixes classic, posed shots with glimpses of raw interaction. It's simply a lovely and useful shoot as the photos would make charming holiday-themed save-the-dates or thank you cards.
Happy Engagement Season!
It’s retro with a superhero twist? Holy Batman!
This Arizona wedding is simply sugar sweet. It features impeccable vintage elements such as the bride’s more than 60-year-old dress, which she found at a local vintage boutique. There is also the handmade antique pin and brooch bouquet, one of our favorite accessories of the moment.
Cleverly mixed in with this grace is a nod to the groom’s love of superheroes. Photographer Anna Padilla tells us, “The groomsmen, which included the groom’s sister, surprised Mark by wearing superhero shirts under their suits. They had him close his eyes and revealed their alter-identities. They also had a special superhero shirt for him, which of course he loved!”
Congrats to the adorable couple and may their love take them up, up, and away!
The Vancouver union of Julien and Bracken is spring and summer wedding inspiration at its finest. Photographer Lindsay Skeans says this was just one of those “picture perfect weddings,” and we couldn’t agree more.
In fact, we aren’t sure which details we adore the most. Each is as flawless as the next, and we certainly have a weakness for pups in bowties.
The outdoor wedding and tented reception on a unique farm site is a tribute to natural, relaxed glamour. And the details by event styling company Thimble Design set this celebration apart, they are elaborate yet understated.
Prepare to swoon, and congrats to the newlyweds!
Over the last week, we’ve witnessed images from parts of New Jersey that speak of gloom, despair and heartbreak as the area recovers from Hurricane Sandy. And that’s why we are uplifted and thrilled to share this stunning New Jersey wedding, reminding us of love, hope and the promise of blue skies to come.
The September 1, 2012 union between Julie and Jared is marked by brilliant skies captured masterfully by photographer Kevin Ferguson. The outdoor affair was held at Crystal Springs Resort in Hamburg, NJ, and we love the use of light, both indoors and out.
This photo love story is simply dreamy and serene. Congrats to Julie and Jared!
The colors are calming, the attitude is cool and the details, all DIY, are exquisite. Shot by Nikelle Bennett, images of Emily and Omri’s union bring the feeling of unflappable love and laid-back elegance to life.
We are infatuated with the vibrant brooch bouquet, which was handcrafted by the bride and her bridesmaids, and obsessed with the creative shots of the pair’s large bridal party.
Nikelle tells us that each day, for 53 days leading up to the wedding, Omri posted a reason why he wanted to marry Emily on Facebook. Does it get sweeter than that?
Congrats to the happy couple!
A remote cabin in the woods outside of Edmonton, Alberta is masterfully used to create a vibrant, fun and romantic shoot with the day’s wardrobe front and center.
“Curtis and I love colour, there is just an energy that colour evokes,” says now newlywed Lindsay. “My style isn't too matchy-matchy. I often ask Curtis ‘does this match?’ and if his reply is ‘yup,’ I usually go and change. Looking back, we took a few fashion risks, but it was fun, and we trusted Lindsay to make the most of it.”
We agree. The risks definitely paid off. The photos make you smile and evoke a natural artistic quality that charms our eyes.
Thanks to Lindsay Skeans Photography for sharing, and congrats to Laura and Curtis Griffith. The colorful pair tied the knot on June 30, 2012.
Get color inspired, and remember, a pop of color is welcome in every season!
